Monday Morning Prayer: Remember what the season is about - Jesus

A Thought  In the madness of Christmas remember what it’s about – the celebration of the birth of a saviour. May we never forget, it is not about the gifts, though they are nice, it’s about Mary’s baby, Jesus Christ. He was born a man lived a life, and died on the cross to save you and me, and yes, he rose again. And you and I still speak of him today. After the birth of Jesus, an angel appeared to shepherds working in a field near his birth, telling them of the birth of the Messiah. Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” When the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, “Let’s go to Bethlehem! Let’s see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” (Luke 2:13-15 NLT)

The Shepard found Mary, Joseph and Jesus and retold the story. Mary did not say anything …but Mary kept all these things in her heart and thought about them often. (Luke 2:19 NLT)May that be you may you keep Jesus in your heart and think of him often.

A Scripture

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father,  Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)

A Prayer  Lord, may we remember you, may we keep you in our hearts, may we ponder upon you often. In Jesus’ name. Amen See you next week, Monday… Until then be KIND.
